We recently began the process of improving approximately 84 miles of underground cable and equipment in parts of Lower Makefield Township, PA.
This work is being done to improve network reliability and allow for future enhancements to our suite of services including Xfinity X1 for television, Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Voice and Xfinity Home, our whole home security and automation service.
Our teams are working on weekdays within utility rights-of-way and easements in certain neighborhoods throughout the Township. The project is expected to take approximately six to nine months Township-wide; however, crews will only be in individual neighborhoods for a short time.
We initially notified Lower Makefield residents by letter and we are currently placing door hangers on homes approximately 48 hours prior to work being done within each neighborhood. In addition, we are providing daily street sheets of our work locations to Lower Makefield Township, which are posted on the municipal website.
