The Comcast Foundation Awards 2017 Leaders and Achievers Scholarships to New Jersey, Pennsylvania High School Seniors

The Comcast Foundation recently recognized its 2017 class of Leaders and Achievers Scholarship recipients during two ceremonies held in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, respectively. The Leaders and Achievers awards program recognizes the best and brightest high school seniors for their community service, academic performance and leadership skills. Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship. One deserving student from each state had their $1,000 scholarship turned into a $10,000 Comcast Founders Scholarship – instituted in honor of Ralph J. Roberts, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Comcast Corporation. Ten Samsung Galaxy tablets were raffled off at the NJ ceremony, while five laptop computers were raffled off at the PA ceremony for students to use at college. More details from our NJ and PA ceremonies, along with a selection of photos can be found below!

At the New Jersey ceremony, held May 9th at the Trenton War Memorial, $97,000 in scholarships was awarded to 88 high school seniors from across the state. Jacob Bauldock, a resident of Willingboro, NJ, and student at Burlington County Institute of Technology, was selected to receive the $10,000 Comcast Founders Scholarship.
