It just got easier to tweet, like, post and snapchat at the Mann thanks to new, free Xfinity WiFi hotspots. Today, the Mann and Comcast announce the official launch of free Xfinity WiFi hotspots throughout the Mann’s Fairmount Park campus to improve high-speed Internet access for concert-goers throughout the busy summer concert season. Through this new partnership, Xfinity WiFi will allow concert-goers free access to high-speed Internet for real-time sharing of their favorite moments at the Mann.

“Our top priority continues to be providing our guests with an unforgettable experience at the Mann. We are pleased to partner with Comcast to present improved Internet access to give concert-goers what they want – the ability to seamlessly share their experiences and photos across social platforms,” said Catherine M. Cahill, President and CEO of the Mann. “We know that concert-goers want fast, easy Internet access and believe Xfinity WiFi will enhance the experience at the Mann this summer.”

In recognition of the new service and in honor of our fallen heroes on Memorial Day weekend, Comcast is challenging guests to use their voices to make a difference. During the Memorial Salute performance on Saturday, May 28 presented by the Philly POPS and the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, concert attendees will be encouraged to share moments from the concert using hashtags #MemorialSalute and #XfinityWiFi. For each social share using these hashtags, Xfinity will donate $1 to the Travis Manion Foundation, a local organization that works to support veterans and families of the fallen. For tickets, or to learn more, visit MannCenter.org.

“On Memorial Day and all year long, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country,” said Brigadier General (Retired, Army) Carol Eggert, Vice President of Military and Veteran Affairs at Comcast. “The Travis Manion Foundation is a well-respected organization that assists our Nation’s veterans and the families of the fallen; we are pleased to make this contribution to them through this social media campaign.”

In addition to the free Xfinity WiFi hotspots at the Mann, the Xfinity WiFi network includes more than 14 million hotspots that are accessible to the majority of Xfinity Internet customers for no additional charge. Xfinity WiFi is the fastest and largest WiFi network in the country and is present in many businesses, transportation hubs, sports and entertainment venues, shopping districts and parks throughout Comcast’s service areas.
